I’m jealous! My friend is just like you - found one online, tried it on and bought it. Me, on the other hand...everything I pinned printed and loved online looked like poop on me. The dress I thought I wanted compared to the one I bought are like night and day.

My mother used to sell wedding gowns at a bridal salon that specialized in plus-size gowns. Agreed! I think we all try on Periphone. It made me look like a wet plastic bag. The “flowy” look is not for me.

I just wrote this somewhere else, but I think it’s because they are so EASY! They’re everywhere, and it’s easy to throw on a sample, clip it back, and see exactly how it will look. All of the backless dresses I tried on involved some sort of consultant-magic to help me see how the finished dress would look in my size!

I had a lot of trouble with dresses because of those damn CLIPS! Most of the dresses I went after had open backs with intricate lace, and because the samples were too big on me, they just didn’t lay right and I really had to use my imagination. It made me realize why strapless dresses are so popular - they are so easy…

I feel like the first dress everyone who got engaged in the past year tries on is the Persiphone.
