My boss takes that week off every year, and since my department is busy and can't really afford to have more than one person gone for more than a day or two, nobody else can take that week off. Not that I could anyway, since I used all my vacation time back in May.

I work in a lab, and not a medical lab or anything where results are urgent. There's no reason for it.

Same here. I can't believe I have to work Christmas Eve.

That site sounds like a real asshole. DTMFA.

I'm sure it also makes people discover their kinks at a much younger age. Which is probably a good thing, since they won't wait until they're married with kids to discover they have some weird kink they just can't live without anymore. How would you know you're a furry, for example, until you know that it's a thing

The A.V. Club

I used to like it when I was a kid and I didn't know any better. And yes, my family is kind of white trash because we'd usually go to Olive Garden or Red Lobster for special occasions. But I went there a couple of years ago and it was just really awful. I still kind of like Red Lobster though, mostly because I live

How do you pronounce them differently? I can't even think how they would be different.

I've seen it as both (Kerry Washington, for one). In addition to Kerry and Carrie, I've also seen Kari (female) and Cary (male).

I do!

My cousin from Arizona named her daughter Skyler (before Breaking Bad), but I had never heard it before (I'm from Chicago).

Just as long as parents don't name their kids after characters from The Hunger Games.

Yeah, that was kind of messed up. I resorted to using the arrow keys on the keyboard to scroll down.

Best show was easy, but I had a hard time deciding between Brooklyn 99, Orange is the New Black, and Orphan Black for best new show.

It works in Chrome, but the formatting is unnecessarily stupid.

I like "Phases" quite a bit, although it doesn't come close to reaching the heights of the very best episodes, and I'm not sure how it would hold up as a standalone episode if you've never seen the show before. It would probably still be pretty good, but I think it would work better if you've seen the rest of the

I love the whole Pylea arc, especially when watching it along with Buffy. I like the contrast of the lighter tone of Pylea against all the gloom of the Buffy plotline. It explains why Angel didn't show up and help Buffy since he was literally off in another world and had no idea any of that was going on. Which makes

My company encouraged us to dress up for Halloween, so four other people in my department and I decided to do a group theme. I suggested the Wizard of Oz because I thought it was something everyone had seen, but it turns out that none of them had seen it. Granted, none of them were born in America (but most of them

Actually, it looks like the B&W versions are already available for individual seasons. On Amazon, it's not immediately apparent, but if you go to the other versions option, it's there for seasons 1 and 2. Not sure why they're re-releasing them unless there's special features or something. I just wish there was a

I love Fawlty Towers too, and I agree that it would have gotten grating if they had done much more. I wish more American shows had that kind of restraint to pull the plug instead of dragging it out until it's no longer profitable.
