If someone got there, it’s not impossible.

I mean, are they “impossible to reach” if there is a means to reach them?

It takes a talented writer to make it work though. Shallow Jedi mind trick shit just comes off as contrived.

I was thinking the same thing. The people around the house are all weird enough in their efforts to appear allied that there’s no way another of her partners hadn’t tried to skedaddle before. She’s had practice.

George RR Martin was talking about this as storytelling technique. Have characters debate course of action, and then have one who was dead-set against it be one to end up following through. Because then it feel like it have to be done, and character with conflicted motivations generally more interesting than “me

Those both were very good villains in different ways but I agree. I’d also throw in Kingpin and the Purple Man from Netflix Marvel as villains who people were raving about being “the best yet”. I loved both of their performances, for sure, but the hyperbole for these kinds of things are getting out of hand.

Someone on Twitter pointed out that the opening history of Wakanda was N’Jobu speaking to his son, which I definitely missed on first viewing. His motivations were very well set up.

That’s some fine whataboutism you’re peddling there, buckaroo.

We are consistently passing new laws to regulate alcohol, automobiles and hospitals, while laws regulating guns have actually decreased in recent years. So nice try fuckface.

I loves me some Florence, and I agree with you. Nonetheless, I cannot bring myself to dislike TayTay’s “Shake It Off.” It’s catchy, infectious, and fun, which is what Pop needs to be.

John Cho?

Now that Marvel has figured out that Scott Buck is an idiot, maybe Disney will take a chance on him.

Jeremy Jamm - unexpectedly the Good Place, as it turns out that despite his corruption on the City Council, he donated a kidney to a stranger and rescues orphaned puppies and trains them as service animals for the disabled.

So... new kids, same “game characters” new game? Meaning all the Rock/Jack Black/etc pairings/personalities could be totally different.

Count me as an almost never-saw-Frasier. I’ve seen a few by now, very recently, on Netflix. And it’s good-ish (Mahoney is the best part) but I just didn’t really warm to an ensemble with TWO effete snobs in it. Although I guess they made it work, and that move to pop-psychology radio star is actually a perfect

The fun opera-related John Mahoney trivia I know is that he was the one who introduced David Hyde-Pierce to opera, which is a funny real-life reversal of their Frasier roles.

Mahoney’s passing is big news in Chicago. He was one of the original members of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

So sorry to hear this. Both his character and Roz’s ability to ground the brothers (while also keeping up with their verbal jabbing) was what made Frasier such an enjoyable show.

I hope Mahoney knew how much joy he brought to 90s television viewers. And that Martin is enjoying Ballantine in that Great Barcalounger in
