Patrick Stewart pushed for the TNG films to be more action-oriented, so it might not be a good sign. Do we forget that the Picard in First Contact is pretty different from the Picard we saw at the end of TNG’s tv run?

For the record, I generally enjoyed Discovery until they pulled a Dukat with Lorca. Pardon me for being frustrated with Star Trek’s continued refusal to have morally grey antagonists.

While it won’t get remade, Disney has all but said that Episode IX is going to retcon a lot of what happened in TLJ.

Pretty damning statement on the show’s quality that Star Trek Discovery didn’t make this list.
