As someone that was pretty meh on Discovery season 1, this appears promising. The tone seems lighter, not as darkly lit now that Lorca’s gone, and Anson Mount looks like he’s going to be a damn good Captain Pike.

Arguably, Archer is the best Captain since he was crucial to the founding of the Federation. 

DS9 was given the Defiant at the start of season 3 when Sisko was still a Commander. He was promoted to Captain at the end of the season. And to say he did “jack shit” with the Defiant and its replacement is so laughably ignorant that it’s not worth responding to properly.

Solo will do great on streaming and blu-ray. RLM rightly said it’s the best of the new films and word-of-mouth will turn it into a cult classic. The bad box office return was largely due to the extremely negative reaction to TLJ.
