I like Pentatonix and I have bought their albums. Even if I didn’t I would still find it amusing that out of all the music competition shows, this group is the one that became a big hit. I mean, The Voice has never pulled it off and AI wasn’t getting successes after the first few years.

The albums I won’t disagree with, but I encourage you to watch any of their performances on the reality show The Sing Off, which is where they came from. They were impressive.

That’s fair, and those are legitimate opinions to have and express. I think my complaint lies more with people who just blanket hate a capella or covers or pop music, and that forms the basis of their critique.

As a choir nerd, I’m always pleased when something choral related becomes popular. That hardly ever happens. Good for them for making a capella popular. I hope they find continued success.

I find it funny that of all the utter crap on the radio, they have to be grouped in and shat upon, as well. Sure, they are can come across as some over-earnest choir kids on stage. I’m...not sure what all the hate on them is for? They’re very good at what they do. I don’t hate on people for rapping well, even though that’s not my taste. It seems weird to have such a strong opinion about something like this.

I’m not a fan, just indifferent to this group. I don’t understand why so many people have hatred for them - it’s not like they can’t sing. They can sing.
