I just read an article about a pregnant woman in SF being diagnosed with Zika after returning from a trip to Central America. I made the mistake of reading the comments and the first one said, I shit you not, “The CDC should prohibit pregnant women from traveling to the highly infectious areas.”

YES! Not voting because your first pick didn’t get the nom is a temper tantrum, and we all know how effective tantrums are at getting what we want.

The whole short pants for boys tradition was very sensible. Those growth spurts are murder on whoever is in charge of keeping them presentable.

“I won’t vote if my preferred candidate doesn’t get the nomination, and somehow the government will know I am unhappy, and will respond by fixing things” = motherfucking magical thinking.

Yes, vote in EVERY election. Vote for your town/city officials, your local school board, your state congress, federal midterms. Every election.

I love that they dress him that way. It’s old fashioned and ADORABLE. Little boys should wear formal shorts! They ruin long pants.

Is that really why they do it? I’m no expert but that doesn’t seem like a great kidnapping/paparazzi deterrent. Maybe all cherub faced, Caucasian toddlers look alike to kidnappers and photogs?

I’m pretty sure I convinced my friend yesterday to switch his view from #Bernieorbust to voting for whoever the Democratic nominee is. I used the argument “I like my reproductive rights, even if you don’t like Hillary.” It worked.

You know, the last time I was in Target, I just couldn't resist getting some mascara and an abortion.

Exactly. This is one of the reasons why the Bernie-or-Bust movement fills me with so much rage (or any other similar movement, but honestly I haven’t seen a similar hashtag thrown around as often from Hillary’s camp).

THIS. We are seeing the devastating results of low voter-turnout right here. People need to vote, not only this November, but EVERY TIME there’s an election. If we don’t vote, then the aging, paranoid, Fox News-Watching folks will continue to have their way.

Or, they can break up since this seems to be a dealbreaker anyway, and she can meet someone who shares her beliefs, as can he. It’s not that hard. She’s young and at a Christian college, and every church has a young singles group. Pretty sure she can meet someone who checks off all the boxes on the list. It’s also

“Cult.” OK, sweetie, back to r/atheism with you now

I believe that. A (male) coworker once commented that women were “taking over” the office because we were up to 4 women and 5 men

There was a study that men think 30% of women in a group or if 30% of time used speaking by women means it is gender equal. Anything over that and it is perceived as “female biased”

Buddy, you have some serious issues.

You mean Dhani Harrison? Spittin’ image of his dad George.

Yeah, I think in America, people tend to think of “racial issues” as concerning white people’s racism against black people. And because that’s the kind of racism that tends to get thought about and talked about most (even though it’s still not talked about nearly enough), I think that probably causes some misplaced

How is that a plug? He didn’t even name it or link to it. He just mentioned a personal way this bummed him out, which is kind of the point of a eulogy.
