Yeah, seriously, what the fuck is going on? The victim blaming and rape apology are off the charts. I think it might be just the fact that a woman is accusing a man of rape and being believed - some people really cannot handle that. :(

Holy shit were there ALWAYS this many trolls on articles like this? There seems to be an influx. I blame gawker.
You have zero evidence for the claim that a porn star is more likely to falsely claim rape than a non-porn star. Rationally, a porn star is less likely to make a false allegation because they are less likely to be believed about any rape allegation, true or not, by misguided people like you.
So it’s no big deal to beat the shit out of a professional boxer? He gets paid to be hit, so he has no right to complain if it happens just any old time anyone feels like it? It’s no big deal to shoot a professional soldier? He gets paid to get shot at!
Because the vast majority of people who say they were raped are telling the truth. She has a lot more to lose than to gain by saying what she said. The thoughts of others in the industry and his behavior also corroborate her claims.
“People” don’t “always” take the woman’s side. Trust me, you will not have to go far to find people defending Deen here. But many people will believe the alleged victim because it is pretty rare for people to falsely accuse other people of crimes, particularly rape. And either you’re going to come to a conclusion, or…
It seems obvious to me she has more to lose, than to gain, by accusing a very well liked celebrity of something like this. Something everyone will challenge and doubt and crack jokes about. I’ve already read some horrible things like, “I hope he paid her after.”
Unfortunately, most women are raped by “nice guys.” It’s not a stranger in a dark alley for most sexual assault survivors; it’s someone we, and probably others, thought was safe/friendly/attractive/nice.
Team Stoya. Odds are strongly in favor of her telling the truth.
Seriously, I hope the same thing. None of my abusers are famous, but hearing anything about them, being lauded or even mentioned, makes my skin crawl to this day. I just want her to find peace and have all of the love and support she needs.
I hope she has all the support she needs at the moment. I feel like a lot of us have similar stories about having to grin and bear it when our abusers are mentioned. I can't imagine what that must feel like on such a large and public platform.
Poor Stoya. I don’t know her, or Deen, but this is horrible and terrifying. As a rape survivor, I understand her pain, and commend her for speaking out. She has my respect and sympathy, and I hope that she has the support she needs to begin to heal from this obvious breach of trust and abuse. I don’t know you, but I…
No, men should be allies because it’s the right thing to do and not expect pats on the back for being decent human beings. You’re not an ally if you’re in it for validation from women.
Go the police and report it as rape? Have you read some of the comments here from guys who think she’s a piece of trash and deserves whatever she got?
Oh, so internet comment boards are courts of law now? I must not have gotten that memo. GFY
don’t worry sweetcheeks, like most rapists, he won’t see a day of jail or punishment in his life.
I was married for 14 years, and have been actively single for 6+ years. All of them have tried to have sex with me during my sleep. At least half of them tried coercion while awake. #Notallmen, but this is what it means to be a woman. I am happily single now, and wouldn’t have it any other way.
I hate this. I hate the “I know him, he wouldn’t do that” though process. That isn’t good enough.
I’m so sorry this happened to you, Stoya.
