I have, and you’re only right that it doesn’t “actually” happen much simply because servers are rarely pulling less than minimum wage. That’s the whole reason students love the job - it pays better than everything else they’re qualified to do.

The key word there is “salary.”
They’re paid that much an hour unless their tips don’t total up to minimum wage or more. Then, the restaurant (or whatever) has to fill in the difference. The $3 an hour claim is untrue and goofy.
Not tipping over bad service is totally acceptable to me. Just as a server wouldn’t complain when they receive an amazing tip for a job well done. Don’t like it, don’t be a server. If you get stiffed enough you still wind up with minimum wage.
They can decline to continue with their participation and/or can not file a formal accusation.
Could it be that a victim went in to have a kit done and then declined to press charges or asked that the investigation be dismissed? In those cases, I imagine there would be kits that were not tested.
It’s their business model and their software; of course they’re “getting rich off of it” if it’s proving to be a lucrative business. If the job were that shitty, drivers wouldn’t be doing it. Great pay, make your own schedule, drive people around all day? Doesn’t sound that shitty to me.
I don’t really care what she does or if she’s a slut or what. I just think it’s misguided to tout her as some kind of feminist icon or an example of anything positive in general. And ditto to all your points.
I never heard or saw any evidence of her expressing that.
I am sure it’s much easier and preferable to believe your husband is the good, kind person you always thought and hoped he was than it is to believe the horrific reports of what he’s done. At most, she probably will concede he’s a serial flirt. We believe what we want to.
It’s almost as if there really is no segment of people who realize that businesses need to be able to operate and be influenced by a free market, while also acknowledging that ideally workers should be given certain protections and rights. Seemingly, most are either in the “free market!” or “give workers everything!”…
Do teenage pizza drivers get Papa John’s vehicles to deliver the pies, or is that wear and tear going to mommy’s vehicle? Are Uber drivers forced into this unfair arrangement or somehow misled? I drove my car to my office today.... I’m certainly not going to cry about it or accuse my employer of taking advantage of me…
I wonder if we are only hearing about these incidents and complaints more because Uber is centralized and gets a lot of publicity. It would be harder to get nationwide coverage of similar issues in a traditional taxi service since they’re often market-specific and generally never in the news. I live in a large Texas…
Uber loves my business! They take my payments and drive me places. No sexual assaults yet, thank goodness.
“That nude selfie you posted on the internet was really classy,” said no one ever.
...just don’t call her klassy.
I don’t care if kim is a slut; I care that she’s a trashy, tacky reality television star who encourages people to further confuse the difference between posting nude images of yourself in public with “being confident and empowered.”
I don’t believe the above poster failed to understand the judgement. I think perhaps they just travel more than you do.
So it’s acceptable to ask for a family member’s hotel room? How are hotel employees supposed to know if you are related? My name is pretty unique, but you could be Bob Davis and ask for the room number of Jane Davis and not be related.
I’ve asked to be put on the same floor or nearby colleagues at hotels before - without the other person present - and they accommodated the request. It definitely happens. It seems a little ridiculous to me that the hotel would be found equally as responsible as the person who actually committed the crime. But hey,…
