Or Israel can stop slaughtering civilians under its domination and instead grant basic civil and political rights to all the people under its domination. Why do Palestinians deserve any less?

I don’t understand why nuance is so hard for people here. Hamas can be totally wrong, and Israel’s response to Hamas can be totally wrong. Don’t know why so many people think they have to pick a side and pretend it’s all rosy.

The whites LOVE to quote PARTS of MLKs “I have a dream” speech, but when it comes to the “Birmingham letters” they are oh so conveniently ignorant to what he wrote.

Especially when they (mostly white politicians/political commentators) use King as a cudgel to hit black people with but ignore his lessons that apply to their own fucking life.

Since she’s so well versed in King’s words and legacy, I wonder how Amy missed his Letter From Birmingham Jail. Or literally anything he said about Vietnam.

Yep. I have no problem describing Hamas’s slaughter of 1,400 Israeli civilian, wounding of 5,400 more, as despicable barbarism. I’m confused about why I would describe Israel’s actions that have slaughtered twice as many children as anything other than despicable barbarism.  But I have this weird thing where I think

Hey white people , if you could stop shoe-horning MLK into every fucking bad political take you have that’d be great, m’kay?

Love to see Karen Schumer whitesplaining MLK to everyone.

100%. I will not be forgetting these celebrities who make it clear that they have zero issues with the deaths of thousands and thousands of Palestinians to “avenge” October 7. As a Jew myself, seeing the responses to genocide is just appalling. Seeing people still contort themselves after yesterday’s bombing of a

When +8,300 people have been bombed to shit, most of them were civilians, half of them were children, and you’re rooting against a cease-fire, you’re the problem.

Yeah it looks like they’re taking a “we’ll get to a statement when everyone’s ready” approach, as opposed to feeling the need to be the first out of the gate with some sort of “look at me!” announcement.  Good for them.

Some people can walk and chew gum at the same, but lots of people can’t.

There are very very few tv and film cast members who were as close and friendly as the Friends cast. There has never been any type of bad blood reported among them and they truly did feel like a family.

You don’t see that around a lot. The only other cast I can think of that was this close (live action wise) was the

From what was said, they were extremely tight in a way of people who simply are above the usual passing acquaintance or loose idea of friend. Perry himself said they would see each other at parties or functions and literally forget about everyone else and spend the night talking to one another.

Weird snark. I don’t think the world is waiting for their response. Most of us know how devastating this loss is for them.

It’s clear they’re going to make a joint statement and even more clear that they’re in deep deep grief. Give the cast some space. No one wants to be in the situation that Paul McCarthy was when John died.

I’ve been kind of moved by the recurring guest stars’ posts about Perry. Brooke Shields, Lauren Tom and Morgan Fairchild have posted lovely things.

All getting rid of no-fault divorce would do is lead to fewer people getting married. Not because people get married expecting to divorce but because people know that their partner can change. And women in particular know that a male partner can change into someone dangerous. I’m expecting the GOP to also start working

This one is the scariest so far for me! 😱😱

This is my first time posting because until recently I’ve never had anything that spooky happen, but this event floats back to my brain every so often and I still have no idea what the fuck this was about.
