Chico's?
Chico's?
i think they must have tried but ran into a rights issue or something. the score they did use was about as close to the Ferris score you could get without plagarism
also, i mean, yeah the Ponderosa Twin did have a plus one, but Fantastic Four Plus One is definitely meant as a reference to Funky 4 + 1
lol at "the nearby el train" - spoken like a true Chicagoan..
wow, no, I hadn't see that before. I think he's one of the best impressionists they've ever had though. That weekend update bit a few weeks ago where he just pulled out dead-on impressions of like every major black comedian was so good.
i just watched it again and that Tupac version of "Shake It Off" is pretty incredible, even if the rest didn't really hit the mark
the hologram sketch aired in full on the local NBC affiliate in New York. it wasn't the best but I wouldn't say a disaster. I can definitely see how putting a commercial break mid-sketch would be a real drag though, that's weird
christ, was covering Tribeca an assignment or a punishment?
ohh i see, i haven't actually watched the whole episode yet, did they specifically name that one in the sketch? i though Perkins was just throwing out the address of a random CVS that he googled, seemed weird. my bad
"There does seem to be a CVS on 14th and 1st in NYC, so maybe don’t ask the people who work there any questions about this episode."
what is a "line director?" is that supposed to be the line producer?
yeah i just watched that doc this afternoon, but i can't remember if i saw anything in the cafeteria. I think it was 2009 when i was there and all the weird camps just started to blur together in my brain..
I actually once worked on a documentary that involved traveling to various summer camps around upstate NY and western PA and we ended up at the camp where the movie was filmed. Apparently they were very not pleased with the content of the actual movie when it was released. (maybe they hadn't seen the script before…
