Very true - the whole notion of people being able to get away with paying no attention _most_ of the time makes the chances of them actually paying attention in those particular moments when they really need to somewhat miniscule.

Musk says that the company is making progress on auto-steering, where the car keeps track of the lines on the road and doesn't let it veer out of the lane. The test route Tesla is using is between San Francisco and Seattle and Musk says it's "almost able to go [between the two locations] without touching the controls…
I'm not overwhelmed because I always know exactly what I want, usually down a few colors. And if I'm shopping for a car for myself, then I want a stick, and now only about 1% of the cars on the lot meet that criteria.
The biggest issue with vast option choices is that if you've spent some time on a configurator figuring out exactly what you want, there's nearly nil chance of actually finding that car on a lot somewhere. Unless you're doing a custom order, you're going to end up compromising whether it's on giving up options you…
Yes, because US is the only market for Mini.
Sad because this looks amazing. And the windshield. That looks good as well.
I've owned two Minis, a first gen Cooper S and a second gen Clubman. I think I'm done with these people now. The base Mini is way too large, and they seem more interested in building SUV's than actual small cars that are fun to drive.
You're looking at it the wrong way - Imagine if the government didn't fund new technologies - Internet and GPS would not exist. Besides, the government spends hundreds of billions on military technology that may never see the light of the day, all in secrecy, and all without transparent oversight. $17 billion got us…
Eos is being killed I think. This is just a more stylish Golf Cabrio, for 'stylish' people.
I'm an insurance guy, hi. I write estimates for a living, and deal with accident claims as my day to day. The Edmunds article was BS. The snippets they put of the estimate showed a shop that was inflating the figures. It was silly.
Even though I consider myself more a person who likes to stand on the sidelines and ridicule both teams, I'll bite. What's the conservative argument for banning direct sales? Because people on both sides of the political fence seem to be mostly pro-Tesla and pro-direct sales here.
Didn't Texas just give Toyota a ton of subsidies to move their US HQ there? There are no free markets, least of all in Texas.
They have every right to look out for themselves. I'm just asking them to prove their point in a way that makes sense. So far with this wacko-bird freedom rhetoric, they haven't done that.
The original Oreo logo.
I like when they put little M&M's in cookies. If they put one of these on a car, I'd probably check it out.
That is the most Jalop solution ever...COTD
Hell if I know, dude. I know plenty of people that live in ratty houses/trailers and burn firewood to keep warm but are somehow making lease payments on quad cab F350s.
Because they look cool, drive nice and are fun to own.
Because people aren't using them as work trucks, they're using them as daily runabouts. A basic Silverado work truck, aptly named the "Work Truck" trim, starts at 26 grand.
Crossovers are not fun. If you want a family hauler, suck it up, admit you made a stupid decision having kids, throw away what dignity you have left and buy a mini van.
