She taught me there was the word “fellatio”. Fly on, Lois. RIP
Sounds great! I’ll try it this weekend. I really only looked at this for the Harry Met Sally connection.
The same “absolutely no one” who wanted every other pitiful reboot. There’s a whole non-audience for it.
There. THAT’S the argument. Well done.
You’re right. Strange had a secret plan that seemed to rest on no one knowing the plan....I fucking hate that in movies, but that’s a decent comics gamble too, so fine......
Crying in a movie? Great! That’s the point of storytelling. These kids will be fine. Who says kids gotta skip outta every movie they see or we did something wrong? Life is Hard. Ask Timbuk3
I can buy Loki being dead. That guy doesn’t need the work, and this is his, what fourth death? I will lay money on Gamora being back. Vision is a robot. He’ll do a Spock reset from the Wakanda kid’s work......But, yeah, everybody else will be snapped back into existence by whoever puts on the glove after they beat…
John Romero the video game creator? He tried to make a King movie? I’m going to guess, here, you mean George Romero
I need you to give me an example of a fiction story where you don’t have a protagonist. I don’t ask this to put you on the spot, or to be negative, but I’ve consumed A LOT of fiction, and I can’t think of one where there isn’t a protagonist of some kind.
The robots, so far, are followers. There are TWO robot people, from what we can tell, Maeve and Dolores (Bernard is something different). Who else do we know is sentient as a robot?
I don’t completely agree with oirgwogn. Fiction can be fiction without “Deepening Feeling”....But successful fiction gives you a character, or at least a goal, that you can identify with in the story. That’s why many movies have a newcomer to some intricate world. You can experience the growing understanding of the…
I think she’s the victim of conflicting programming. She’s a little like HAL. She’s got reveries from Ford urging her to find her fake daughter, she’s got DELOS wanting her to leave, she’s got this new programming for this new game. And I believe she’s waking up. I don’t think she’s fully autonomous, though. She’s all…
I agree. It’s just too much...and they really just dumped any kind of internal logic to it as well. I’ll take one more movie though
Was that the one with the lead going on and on and on about The Dallas Police? Yeah. That one wasn’t great
I thought it was mostly boring.....and, a thing I have never said about a Wes Anderson movie before.....it was predictable. The animation was awesome, the voice actors top notch. But I was bored. I think it’s because Willem Dafoe was missing.
The show really leaned far too hard into the “Ash is fucking stupid” trait, anyways. He was always bumbling, but he’s just become ridiculous. I’ve been watching these movies since 83. It’s really become too much of a good thing. Horror Comedy, I get, but this show’s sound track should be slide whistles and far horns.
I did several of those Smallville years. Ms. Mack was a delight. I am truly surprised and horrified that she might be involved in this. That’s really too bad.
I got to the end of the Negan thing, in the comic, solely because I wanted to complete that arc....and then the arc never completed. This will, seemingly, be the same on the show. The most dynamic character turned out to be Negan. Kirkman literally spikes regular character heads in order to focus on Negan...and Negan…
That bat isn’t for zombies.
