Do You Like Pie, Boy?

There's still a difference between working inside and hitting a batter deliberately. The intent on the first is to push a batter off the plate and carve more room to work inside. The intent on the second is: fuck you. Pittsburgh might just be bad at going inside; they're dead last in MLB in pitcher WAR. They're not

Gibson called the cops at 2 AM last night to report that a black man with dreads was urinating in his swimming pool.

It's cool, man. Their pool has urine in it now.

He's kind of known for stupid base running. It's part of the package deal. He also scored a run.

I'm sorry you hate fun.

The scariest part about this comment is that eight people recommended it.

We get many of these here (the full Founders and Bell's line and I think New Holland as well), and I like Oberon on a warm day. I like any beer that makes a genuine effort. I think part of what gets beer geeks into trouble is absolutes. Enjoy a beer for what it is and not what people are telling you it should be and

A lot of Lagunitas is too hoppy, I think; I can't drink their regular IPA. Undercover Shutdown is good, and I love Lagunitas Sucks and Lil Sumpin' Sumpin'.

OK. I've tried almost all their beers and love them, though. Maybe I just like 3 Floyds?

I keep thinking I need to make a beer road trip to Michigan. You've given me some points to plot on a map. Thanks.

The best beer here seems to be clustered in the Northeast. There's also Willoughby Brewing, which does a couple nice things, including a peanut butter cup porter that everybody except me seems to think is better than sex. Columbus has a couple of decent breweries, and then Cincinnati has Christian Moerlein, which is ok

I'm actually originally from California and lived in Colorado for four years, so I've made the Grand Circle Beer Tour. ;-) I still think FFF is that damn good. That said, your frustrations with them are valid; I just haven't reached that point in the marriage yet.

We have great beer here. Most of it doesn't travel far outside the region, though. Hoppin Frog, Jackie O's, Columbus (their Bodhi was my favorite DIPA last year), Buckeye, Portside Distillery, Thirsty Dog. And we're right in the middle of one of the best brewing regions in the country nestled in between Michigan and

Actually I live in Ohio. But I've driven to Munster specifically to buy beer. And did not regret the trip.

I've never had a FFF beer that disappointed me. As with all things, your mileage may vary.

OK. Maybe we have different value systems.

Maybe not to you.

Also, my implication was that if you are anywhere near Michigan, drive to Three Floyds immediately, because Munster isn't all that far.

I can get Gumballhead for ten bucks a six-pack. Totally worth it for me.

You had to be that guy.
