Ah, thanks. You probably clarified my "pondering" above. I have to say—- hexenbiests lose and gain their powers a little too easily. It's got to wreak havoc with their sense of stability.

This is exactly what I have been pondering. If you no longer have your powers, can you still be considered a Hexenbiest? Are we really down to just one now (Renard's mom)?

No more fracking, period. It's poisoning our water. Fricking is just fine, but fracking is a no.

I am late to the Penny Dreadful party… just binge-watched Season 1. I am about to begin Season 2, but happened upon this. Thank you for bringing me to tears through laughter with this excellent and so on point breakdown and happy to see you here after appreciating your Grimm comments.

As someone who agrees with your view on Brady, I will still say that people who are actually involved in things like this, do not often post about them. Looking at the thread of comments, it's a little tiring to see misinformation and innuendo being passed around as truth by self-proclaimed "experts"— and even worse

Thanks. I missed that last week, but it makes me feel better about the writing for Henrietta.

One of my favorite moments and lines for Hank this episode:

And, she has pretended to be dead before! I'm going to dream that she's not gone.

They now have dispatched with 2 strong, smart female characters who really brought depth and possibility to the story. Yo, GRIMM, what's up?!? RIP Kelly and Henrietta

Yeah, tonight I realized that Wu is on my "if they kill this character, I'm done!" list.

Henrietta being killed is SUCH a waste. It's the one misstep of the episode for me, even if it did hint the Renard/Jack link.

Berlin… and I'll be in museum heaven.

Peggy slut-shaming Joan is in keeping with the time. You slut-shaming Joan now, not so much. Joan doesn't dress like a slut and her wardrobe (including this meeting) has only become more professional looking as her status has raised with partnership.

I was surprised at how upset I was that Sean was getting beat up— Kenneth has stepped up the drama. Huzzah!

Think so— I was fine with them.

Yep, Henrietta and Elizabeth have had a lifetime of being hexenbiests to learn to handle it and live with it. Juliette has not.

At the beginning of Bella's date— there are subtitles slyly introducing what is happening.

As I grew up watching westerns and as this song happened to be my favorite when I was a child, this video makes me ridiculously happy. It also brought back a flood of memories of family time.

I would appreciate that. I work near Christie's and artworks that I have only seen in sad representations in books are sometimes on view during an auction preview. I feel incredibly lucky to see them— but it's ridiculous that so many are tied up in private holdings.

Oh, don't get me started on violence against women being perfectly acceptable— and how very many shows display that idea. Argh.
