And yet the false advertising was still a criminal act worthy of punishment.
Poor wording, I believe the crux of it is the dealer wouldn't sell the car without the add ons, making the low price false advertising.
Let me just say, if you don’t have them on your car, it’s a ticking time bomb. They’re usually around $15,000, but we only charge $799.
I’m calling bullshit. There’s no way that a Nissan dealership had enough customers to rack up $500,000 worth of fines.
I agree that loud pipes don’t save lives, but I have had a lot more close calls on my Livewire than my Road King (which has stock pipes, so it isn’t excessively loud). Silence isn’t a problem on city streets or rural highways, but urban highways can be a bit scary. My daily commute involves a 15 mile ride down a busy …
Ride like you're invisible.
Loud pipes do not, in fact, save lives.
You clearly haven’t ridden one. Weight doesnt matter on a bike to good riders. And the weight is not bad, not Ninja 400 low, but also it is there, but manageable. I have owned and raced bikes since I was 21 (plus dirt bikes when i was kid but not that much) so 21 years…and nothing is like the Livewire I demo’d.
What are we thinking about?
It’s a good looking bike. Hope to hear future long term reports.
Yeah that’s basically what my mom likes about it. It’s just a taller Fit, and it’s adequate for normal driving at a solid price.
7s is not slow for the average car; maybe one day it will be but the roads are full of 10-15 year old cars that are much slower and people make them work. Hell, did you even look up 0-60 times of the cars you’re talking about? Whats a base honda civic 0-60 time? I’ll save you the trouble, its 7.4s. A modern Accord…
Seat height (from the ground) is a real issue as you age. Ask me how i know....
You might be right! Im just saying 7 seconds 0-60 isnt like my 2001 Sentra or my 2008 Outback slow. Its fine! When i go EV its going to be a utilitarian choice, personally. Just want somethign hyper efficient at commuting, errands, and highway road trips.
They’re not talking about the width of the doors they’re talking about the height of the seat. As one ages getting up into a high truck or down into a low car is difficult. Vehicle’s where the height of entry allows for a sliding motion into a seat of the same approximate height as a chair is desirable.
Huh? Pretty obvious you’ve never driven a Bolt. This will feel much faster than a regular car everywhere until you get over 70 or so. Drove my Bolt for a year and it would beat anything off the line that wasn’t an EV, and was plenty powerful on the highway.
This is the dumbest take.
0-60 in 7s is plenty fast enough. A good chunk of new cars sold are 4 cylinder crossovers. Those crossovers are around 0-60 in 8s and plenty of people have no problem getting up to speed.
Calm down, Lewis Hamilton. 7 seconds is more than fine to get around town and life. You have been red pilled by the horsepower wars.
