I think the range is fine for what these are.  Its a way to keep the costs down to maximize return.

My wife and I are both in unions that help and protect their workers and provide middle class pay and benefits and much better working conditions than the non union identical jobs in the same city. If workers do not like how your union operates the workers have the dues paying power to improve the union.

Those couple problems that are listed as wrong are just what the owner is willing to admit or knows about.  This thing will just suck you dry, and not in the good way.
