Maybe not as high-profile as some of the others, but I feel like John Sayles should be part of this conversation. It's a constant theme in his work.

Yep. This is like, a straight injection of too many of my interests at once. I'm totally on board.

Whoa whoa - you missed the funniest part of this story. Not only did they ban Seagal, but they have Chuck Norris visiting next month. Like, they're trying to start a legit direct-to-DVD action star cold war up in there.

Well, it's hard to access social media from The Sunken Place.

Fair!

Not that one.

Not that movie, the other one. Trade out "I am Groot" for "I - Superman!" He has at least the vocabulary of a small toddler in that one.

Heh, considering the best Vin Diesel movie is a vocal-only performance!

What's held up for me most is Michelle Yeoh's performance, especially opposite Zhang Ziyi. So beautifully underplayed against Zhang's more expressive hotheadedness. I'd watch a cut of the movie with no action scenes at all, frankly.

He's manipulative and controlling, and she's probably much better off without him.

Agreed. It's a good selection of songs, and it looks like they took care to make arrangements for the keyboard that'd fit the instrument instead of just transcribing the originals. Some of the description makes it sound a bit… precious ("the scorebook expands the possibilities of traditional notation using unique,

I would have given Sasha the crown - not just for Snatch Game, but for the whole season - if she'd said "I once fucked Tammie Brown's father". Wasted opportunity!

I mean…

This sounds, weirdly enough, like a much less fun version of The Nines.

Four hours over two nights, geez. I love every minute of Swimming to Cambodia and yet I have no desire to see another 155 minutes of it.
