For some reason I was bracing myself for it to be Tran. I don’t think I could have taken that.

This summer, Vin Diesel is Mrs. Dalloway
this happened with every TMBG album I could think of. always two perfect songs in a row but there’s like, a weird sound experiment track or 40-second goofball track on each side.
for me with Chronic Town, the three side one tracks are on another plane of existence entirely (not that I don’t love side two).
I’ve seen a real bear - and footprints - and they’re big, but not 20 inches big. The bears, too. Went to Churchill, Manitoba a few years back and took one of theser tours. Here’s my money shot.
None of these idiots learned anything from the post-Lost craze, as evidenced by them *still* using it to promote their shows to this day (eu tu, The Crossing?).
For Fables I feel like you can take the first 5 songs and use any of the 3-song combos therein.
I don’t know how I spaced on this when I was doing a list a few minutes ago. What a perfect trio of songs.
Some that come to mind relatively quickly for me are:
I’d even add Harborcoat to the Reckoning list. That’s a pretty great four song start.
I LOVE “Laughing”!!
I thought Murmur would be a breeze but Laughing and 9-9 are solid but not great efforts, so the runs get a bit broken up.
Obviously the first three tracks of The Joshua Tree are objectively correct, but I will happily try to come up with an alternative.
Yes, but Plainsong -> Pictures of you -> Closedown!
I’m an REM guy, and will go with Begin the Begin, These Days and Fall on Me.
If “Changes” and “Helpless” switched positions, I’d nominate the opening of Sugar’s “Copper Blue”. “The Act We Act” -> “A Good Idea” is a hell of a one-two punch, so it’s a pretty good run as is.
Disintegration -> Homesick -> Untitled.
At least they didn’t let him try to replace David and Gillian with Ambrose and Amell.
thanks, i read it a while ago. also, apparently, my spoiler-hiding skills are lacking.
