You could save everyone time by just stating at the beginning that you don’t believe in global warming so that we know not to talk to you.

While I agree that there’s a lot of unnoticed pollution involved in producing these vehicles, there’s not a single power producing facility in the country that’s less efficient than a single internal combustion engine.

I think the problem is the cost of a plug-in hybrid over its all-gasoline sibling wasn’t/isn’t worth the increased cost for most models (spending a couple thousand more for the plugin version is money that would take years to make up for less gasoline consumption), and most people living in cities where an electric

Self made billionaires usually drive old cars. Think about that for a second.

my boss got rid of her SH (manual no less) and regrets it still.  I should have bought it off her.

Honestly a 5th gen Prelude sounds a heck of a lot more fetching than MOST of what’s on the market these days.

I’ve dabbled in a series of beaters not out of necessity the last few years, but because I enjoy the older cars a lot more. Well, playing it smart and making a minor profit on all of them was the other half of

Hell yea! I’d love a ‘lude. They’re awesome.

I don’t think this cuts it. Retirement happens around 65, life expectancies are rising. You could easily make 85 if you don’t shoot up french fries.

I mean its an escalation loop. You are more likely to be killed or severely injured if you are struck by an SUV or “higher riding” vehicle than your own.

No. Don’t let people like things that are killing the planet. Your right to swing your fist ends at my nose; your right to enjoy SUVs ends at the tailpipe.

People can enjoy things all they want, right up until it’s actively harmful to everyone around them. Driving giant gas guzzling SUVs because it makes you feel like a bigger person is actively harmful.

If SUVs are outlawed, then only outlaws will have SUVs.

For the life of me, I still don’t understand why lifted bro trucks are still street-legal. California is cracking down on all sorts of stuff (noise, emissions, a harmless check engine light, illegally imported small cars that bother absolutely no one, etc). Hell, even my E-85 converted Saab is technically illegal

I’ll be polite. Choosing a Prius C over a Fit proves that tastes are indeed subjective.

They did that already. It’s called an HR-V.

That’s great. it’s an excellent car. Fun to drive. Cheap to own. Practical (you really can “fit” a bunch of stuff in that car). Now I say this from the bottom of my heart, as a fan of this car. As an endorser of this car. As a former semi-owner of this car.

Aren’t we all though?

Great car. Driven one for the past 8 years.
That said, they are getting progressively uglier.
