In the drivers defense, panic sets in and doing the right thing isn't always easy. I had my throttle freeze open when I was 17, and I panicked. I didn't even think of turning the key, I just let the clutch out in 5th gear (I was at a stop sign) and stalled it.

@tonyola: Holy crap, that thing is awesome (in a "So bad it's good" way)

This is the first time I've heard of this book...

"390HP and 735ft-lb of torque"

WRX STi

@wkiernan: The first time I drove an automatic, I had to ask how to start it. I had absolutely no idea what to do without a clutch.

On a snow covered gravel road, in a 1981-83 (not sure anymore) 4 speed Dodge Omni. I was 15.

My family had an '86 Topaz L for over 10 years (from new). I loved that car.

@sadfsdff: Got any Trans Ams for cheap?

@Blaxpear: Except that they are totally awesome.

Shit, that car is amazing.

I wish camcorders would all come with a real wide lens. 35mm just isn't all that wide. Come out with at least 28mm equiv., and then it can be called wide.

That cop is amazing.

@Elhigh: "it's probably beyond my capacity to control without a fair amount of training"

A storm in April of '97 did almost the same thing here in Manitoba. Except the drifts were covering houses.
