@SamhitaMosquito: Well if you're going to be ridiculously oversensationalist, then frankly I'm not going to bother replying. Yes, information SHOULD be free to those who want it, especially when that information can quite easily be used in a safe, legal way, and the article in question doesn't show you how to use it

@SamhitaMosquito: It's impossible to use video tapes for anything but illegally storing TV, you cannot have an MP3 player without stealing all the music on it, the internet has one purpose: piracy. Just because something CAN be used to steal something does not mean that it will be, and if you're in favour of

@SamhitaMosquito: You have a legal right to a backup of your game. Why are you telling me I can't use that right?

@SeraphX2: You're completely misunderstanding the point of both of these things. UAC is a system that allows a user to run everything except what is necessary with limited privileges, it has absolutely nothing to do with whether a user runs it or not. UAC isn't designed as a safety net for things being able to

@SeraphX2: Yes, it is a case of not being stupid. Letting any old executable run on your PC without your consent is, bada bing, bada bong, stupid!

@SeraphX2: Prevention is much, much better than defending after the fact.

@SeraphX2: Yeah, I agree. It absolutely makes more sense to allow arbitrary execution of executables just from plugging in a USB drive! There's no way that could possibly ever go wrong, ever!

@TheFu: Indeed, sometimes good enough isn't.

@redfalconf35: I think @soldstatic put it well - I watch it through faith. However bad it gets, it's still stargate, they could still turn around next episode and say "Y'know what, let's get somebody who actually knows what they're doing in from earth to fix the ship, then let's do some bloody exploration"

@Elery Branch: Currently downloading the miniseries, so hopefully that's also awesome. I like awesome things :D

Woooooo, ready to friday! Yeah! Wooo! Ready!

I think this is completely wro... brb

The moment there's an affordable, legal way to get a copy of a new TV show on my hard drive less than a day after its released, I'm jumping off piracy. Streaming in decent quality is a no-go, I don't have anywhere near good enough internet for that, and I'd like to be able to play it in any player, and keep it. I

Goodie. I always feel slightly guilty voting to close WebApp questions over on SuperUser, because the trilogy had nowhere to send them, and it's a growingly important field. StackExchange 2 is going to be a big thing for Q&A sites.

@m9105826: I agree certain features can speed things up, but that's simply not worth the price, to me.

@m9105826: Can you write HTML? I would agree with you if dreamweaver was perfect, but it's far from it, it produces terrible HTML that can break easily. I'm not blaming it, HTML/CSS has far too many things about it that are just *stupid*, but as human beings we can easily adapt, an algorithm or two trying to

@Prairie Moon: Glad to hear it! Here's to a great week, eh?

@Prairie Moon: oh, that sounds rough. One perk of living over here in england is that weather tends to stay within a very small band of "cold" to "warm a bit, I guess", so I've never had to deal with that. Good luck getting everything back to how it should be, though.

@wjglenn: Ah, first (day|week|month|year|lifetime) back always sucks :(

WOOOOOOOOO! READY TO FRIDAY! YEAH! WOO! READY!
