I wonder if the US would just be better off if all the right wingers were allowed as much guns as they want, and then end up killing each other off in “accidents” and “domestic homicides”. Perhaps it’s an effective population control tactic.

Very true. I am finding morally objectionable things in my work I never would have suspected. Who we work for, what we do for them etc. Serious soul searching going on.

I’m all for rich Trump supporters to throw around money while desperately telling everyone they meet that they’re not racist. I get the impulse, and the $450 is crazy generous. But saying the equivalent of, “Oh, you’re one of the good ones. Here’s some money.” still seems off putting.

This. The young millennials who were still in high school during the recession have no historical context about anything. I don’t know if that’s a failing of schools or just the bubble of technology, but I know that it’s dangerous.
