I disagree here - I think its gameplay holds up just fine, actually. It’s still very playable, the controls are fine / no major issues there. There’s no super cheesy enemies or anything that’s particularly broken about it; the series just continued to evolve after it. Yes, it feels rather dated at this point, but I

Super Mario Land is not garbage - it was a revered game on the playground when it was the only platformer in town - but I will admit it hasn’t aged as well as other games.

His writing is good, he just can’t keep up with the weekly deadlines. If he had a monthly 40/chpt he would be a legend.

Artwork wise, Kubo is among the top mangaka in Jump. He is the one that consistently trying to get better/new way to visualise stuff.

Tite Kubo’s writing ability is inversely proportional to his talent for drawing cool shit and designing clothes.

“In terms of the potential of this getting shut down by Microsoft, in addition to it being a free, fan-made game the team also claim “Our work is completely legal. On one hand, this feels... dirty. I’ve never seen an expansion pass like this for a typical mainline entry in the series.

Watch it or fuck off.

A Metroid game on NX would easily solve the question of which machine I buy to play Zelda.

XY & XY&Z is AWESOME. The animation is done by the same team that did Episode 4 of Pokemon Origins, so every episode is amazing. Check out Ash vs. Sawyer (or Satoshi vs. Shota) from XY&Z Episode 35. It is easily THE best fight in the history of the anime, and I’m including the movies in that.

Has this series evolved at all since the ‘90s?

Yet another in a long line of “small company with very specific vision that refuses to compromise” vs. “large fanbase with totally different vision.”

I hate the questing experience in WoW - not really sure why, but I couldn’t even sit through Legion twice and had to do the old “300% exp potion” trick in Gorgrond etc.
It’s fine, and the new ones are substantially better than Burning Crusade etc. but... the game is at max level.

Well, I guess I can stop trying to get the trifecta. I already have the other two and only wanted Vaporeon for this.

They did the right thing with trying to match accents to the correct nationality, but they’re all very corny. That said, Jojo is corny and B-movie accents are not a horrible thing in context.
