Citroën tried this with the C4 Cactus. It didn’t sell too well.

I did drive one in France. It’s a very good looking car and it’s very nice to drive, like most Mazda. But, for some weird and, frankly, dumb reason, Mazda built the wagon with a shorter wheelbase than the sedan. It was a rather cramped option for what was considered, in Europe, as a large family car.

I live in France and commute daily by bicycle in Paris. I also own a house in the Pyrénées, a range visited by bikers from all over Europe for its Tour de France history. And where such roads are commonplace. We do manage pretty well, as drivers and as cyclists... Sometimes you just have to wait a little. And…
