It was marvelous I noted that one myslef, Wow what a great segue.

16 is the age of consent in Virginia and she is 17. I think they have established the relationship is platonic and deep.

And you can just buy the episode on Amazon if you like.

That scene was very reminiscent of the Anna scene. Completely different yet powerfully linked form the executioner's view.

And i too am with you. It may not have set the blood racing every few minutes but it was like looking at a diamond necklace with every stone a perfection of workmanship, all strung together with a platinum.

I just think they'd better get him condoms if he's going to be close to the Mail Robot. Just to be safe.

"Henry just seems the most American" I have been saying over and over (evidently annoying some by doing it) that the show title is Ironic but when you think about it, Henry IS the American in The Americans. And as the show progresses I wonder if the arc of the show, whereby they become a true committed family, isn't

This family is staying together. That;s the message.
They'll even make room for mail robot after Henry elopes with it.

Tuan.

Plus they film in winter. But it's intentional yes.

The Jennings Family in European Vacation!! Summer Madcap fun, don't miss it!

I got the feeling they just couldn't find room for a scene as much as they wanted. Too many other ends to loosen up.

And she'll do seminars after she appears on the Merv Griffin show.

That was by far the blow me away scene of the episode. I had to pause the show and go jump around.

No Tuan's little bullshit line there was standard and shows how hard line communist he is. I think Vietnam was much more rigorous about that kind of language at that point than the USSR itself.

The Morotzov plotline was to allow P&E to be seen to evolve; and to draw a parallel between the fate of that family and what happens when he drags his own family and children to Russia.

This set us up for Henry to go to Stan and ask to move in with him and his KGB/CIA girlfriend; or alternatively to elope with Mail robot as I have been predicting.

Yes yes yes. I was disappointed with the season finale I admit. I did expect more fireworks of some sort. But the emotional evolution of Phiip and Elizabeth and Paige in particular has been deeply gratifying and heart rending. The Martha scene was amazing and had me put the show on pause and jump around the room it

I liked the pace of the season but I admit I expected something much more explosive at the end. I am still very pleased overall and this show sets up a lot of really hard questions for the season to come. Mostly about Henry eloping with Mail Robot. But there will be other questions to solve and they've set things up

OK what I would EXPECT would be for them to tell Claudia "We realize we have to stay and handle this development. But we are done with all other missions. We are going to finish raising our kids and work Kimmie for the product of the briefcase but that is ALL. We are too burnt out…"
