Yeah, I know- my dad's '03 Taco was subject to this recall, and he got an all new frame, suspension bits, brake/fuel lines...the works. I told him if he fixed the body rust before it got too bad, he'd have a 200,000 mile, brand new truck.

And apparently DMV road crews are also some of the shittiest in the world. In all this crap, and during the 2 hours of my commute, I saw one snowplow.

Agreed, but it didn't help that it rained yesterday so much of that stuff froze last night, too. In the Western Fairfax suburbs, the roads were often quite icy. Lovely stuff!
