I turn anyway. Also the Volvo (spa) reverse lights are horrid so I need to squint to see out of it anyway.

GMC Avalanche E

Yeah that 88 has a whole different life for the t pale prison population. It would be a shame for them to allow this to happen. :/

Bingo. Even more bingo with the Civic. The old b series motors were like a 2 stroke. You had to shift a lot to keep the revs high to keep power on. Shifting matters so much when you have to do it 200 times in 7 miles too. To do all of that work in a numb manual would be hell. Conversely a large v8 or fat 6 (porsche)

Moose!

That is also how I feel, but in the nicer newer cars you are only getting an approximation of a manual anyway. I like to feel the road and the car as well. I want to feel it in the steering wheel, gas pedal, clutch and with every gear change. Electronic everything has muted that quite a bit.

When the alternative to a MT was a really bad AT it was cause for the pitchforks. Now the AT options are really good (Mustang) and they are actually (marginally) faster to boot. Personally I would like to have a manual for an older or lower hp vehicle, but a modern vehicle would be fine with an AT and some paddles.

To buy a death machine is meh. To buy and ride and NOT DIE on said death machine is what legends are made of. Think back to the time where people thought driving at 100mph would peal your face off. That first person to do it was a legend (witch?) for a looooong time. Be a legend.

It is an expensive (bagged) mulch truck. “Gotta go to Lowes and get 15 bags of mulch for the flower bed”. The Honda El Camino....El Pilot...?

I can mail a first-class letter from my house in North Carolina to a friend in Los Angeles for 55 cents.” This is a good point that is mostly overlooked when talking about the post office.

I don’t know them all, but a Hornet and Super Hornet from the late 90's-Early 2000's

Now I need to see a video of the AMMO NYC guy detailing it. Normal speed, no edits, just detailing the car for 78 hours.

I will be looking up Grom Mods today. People have to be doing silly (awesome) things to these.

Don’t call me Pal, Champ. (lol)

If the Salesman starts out with “Hey bud/champ/etc” it is going downhill for them until I am out of the door.

The old ranger should be remade as is was. Some people just don’t need the modern benefits of a truck. I just want one for mulch sometimes and to make dump runs easier. Ranger is perfect for that

I think the Tesla army has been called to your stoop. I agree. Power is good, but this type of power is a little crazy.

Wouldn’t a jig take care of any deformations from heat?

I think most are designing around mpg/mpc and designing with aero in mind which makes them all look dumb. I agree with you though, the market is now in a place where an electric X would be purchased. Not everyone is trying to go 1000 miles on a charge or whatever.
