Well they did that too in Superman Returns when he lifts the whole kryptonite island into space. I guess it doesn’t make for an interesting resolution if you take away that power first. Or any powers really. he seems to be able to will out a whole lot of strength before he fails.

I think Batman built up his distrust of Superman all on his own actually. Luthor thinks and takes credit for egging Bruce on for a couple years but unknown to him, Bruce never saw those notes until the Capitol bombing. I guess Luthor was kinda correct in that the notes pushed him over the edge but I think it was more

Yeah, I think it’s probably at the point that Superman knows Lois gets into dangerous situations so he probably is actively listening for her. However, his mom is working in a diner in Kansas where she’s lived her whole life and he doesn’t know anyone knows Clark Kent is Superman so he likely just assumes she’s ok all

Well, it wasn’t really carrying government sanctioned material as Holly Hunter blocked Luthor’s request for an import licence for the kryptonite. So it probably was off the books.

Lol yeah. A lot of Luthor’s plots happened because of dumb luck it seems. Though in one interview Jesse Eisenberg said that his Luthor had multiple things going on at the same time so if one thing didn’t work, there were other things going on until something took. That’s why he never seemed particularly worried about

I thought he said it just because he’s talking to an elder person so she won’t fear him. The film showed earlier that Bruce Wayne can show compassion in times where he trying to comfort someone in fear or pain. So I thought it fitting he said he was Clark’s friend so she wouldn’t be scared. I don’t think he literally

I wonder what kind of Superman movie would be accepted widely. We had Superman Returns, which sounds like the kind of Superman movie everyone wanted, but it was rejected for having no action and a questionable plot where he has a son.

I also think that that’s why Lex killed off Mercy in the bombing, to cover up that he was involved. So it looks like to everyone that it was the wheelchair guy who did it alone since its only revealed later that Lex stole all the guys disability checks to ruin his life and then he write notes on them to send to Bruce

I actually just assumed Superman was kinda known for saving Lois Lane a lot just like in the comics, where villains just know he cares for her without knowing he is Clark Kent. But your reason makes sense too and makes even more sense after knowing Lex knew his identity. Like a lot of little things in this movie, it

I wonder if JK Rowling realizes that everyone is wondering how much she farted into this chair when news stories like this get out.

Let’s say for the sake of argument that his superhearing limit is from Metropolis to Smallville. With Ma Kent obviously so close to him post kidnapping, they should have had a quick scene where they tell her to not make a sound or they kill her immediately. Thus it would make more sense that he would have no idea

Maybe if they did BvS in animation, it would’ve been more accepted. Whenever these kinds of tales appear in their cartoons, people seem to think they are cool and enjoy seeing a different take. Live action movies seem to be judged more harshly because people take them way more seriously.

How would Lois know that Luthor knew he was Clark Kent? Nothing in the movie suggests that until he reveals it himself. The Capitol bombing had nothing to do with knowing Superman is Clark Kent. The bombing had more to do with getting rid of the senator who rejected him. Superman actually showing up to the thing was

But...several people have answered all the questions, including me. Some of these things aren’t plot holes and are actually explained in the film. I didn’t catch a lot of them the first time around either but I liked it enough to go again and pay attention to things I didn’t get the first time. It helped!

Let’s see if I can answer your plot questions. I’m not trying to change your mind about the movie but I think some of the explanations are there. So please don’t attack my answers. Here I go!
