Gina, I just discovered (well, used for the first time) Campfire last night and am amazed that I got by without it! I consider it an absolute must-use for anyone collaborating on a project.

I also enjoy the dialog buttons. It's no "Ok", it's "Thanks". :)
Thankfully this doesn't have the 10.4 requirement that Google Notifier does. The fact that you really do have to buy the latest point-release operating system to run your applications is a major downside to macs.
@Posco; The control keys do work, it's just that they're used in conjunction with other keys to send control codes to the apps. "Ctrl-c" for example sends a kill signal. I'm not sure if it's a real signal in Windows like in Unix though... it may just kill the process.
Christopher; You don't need a gym to workout! Simple push-ups, sit-ups and free-weight exercises are great. Along the lines of closeupman, there are other things that provide nice work-outs too.
Another tip that I recently discovered and smacked my head over; cmd is not the same as command. Command brings up the classically worthless Windows 95 / 98 / NT4 command prompt. cmd, on the other hand, brings up a passingly acceptable prompt with things such as the aforementioned keyboard shortcuts, tab completion…
I believe that the person in the photograph should open her mouth, lest the green liquid douse her chest. ;p
I frequently find myself on the other end of the spectrum. People far too often leave out important details - and I find myself in a three thread deep email that should have taken one reply on my part.
Sadly it doesn't seem to work with the default Firefox theme on OSX 10.3. :(
My brainiac idea? Step one; assume British accent. Step two; blow stuff up. Step three; call it science!
@Falconfire; Well, I can certainly stand some cancer or obesity with my teleportation (which Firefox insists is really "deportation"). Since I can teleport, my obesity won't be a problem what with my moving without using my appendages and all.
An interesting note in this thread involving "calorie" counting. Did you know that your standard U.S. Calorie is really a kilo-calorie? The amount of energy needed to raise 1 kilogram of water by 1 degree celcius. An ordinary calorie conversely is what's needed to heat 1 single gram of water. Even more…
Spammers ho!
Aaah, Battlefield 2142. The game that kicks you out simply for running it.
Perhaps I'm a bit strange - but I find that I have to shower after I sleep lest I feel all sticky. I'm not quite sure what it's about, maybe I sweat more when I sleep - but I just can't do it and wake up feeling "refreshed". To me, the "refreshing" part is taking a shower!
Alright! I've been looking at this for awhile, but I have absolutely zero funds for books anymore.
Ubunto... is that like an obento?
@Davidwb; "And for those of us who aren't satisfied with good enough, OS X is less expensive and has more than promises behind it." - when Apple releases for generic x86 machines - I'll be right behind you! Until then; OSX would cost me... around $1000 ($1500 or so for a usable system, I suppose - minus the $500…
Since nobody else has posted yet... I'd love to see an article on the readers' (or even Gina's!) favorite "make ahead" recipes. Food stuffs that yield both high freezable (or short-term, 3 day+ and microwavable to goodness) quantity and high taste. All about conserving time by making your weekly meals ahead of…
Ah, and who can forget Vim? My most favoritist text editor of all time.
