Ah, yes! Finally coverage of rsync! This has got to be one of my favorite all time synchronization apps. It's ability to keep large amounts of data in sync is unsurpassed. At $WeMakeLegalResearchSoftware we routinely sync a filebase of 4Gigabytes worth of tiny 12k files in roughly 35minutes across the internet.

This was already posted back in March from a reader tip. :( Although, it did get me to search for "sheet" which led me to how to fold a fitted sheet!

Man... the concept of watching TV while eating dinner with your family... that's terrible.

So I tried to register to post a comment on metafilter... I got to the final registration page and it's thanking me for agreeing to donate. I backed up through all of the prior pages and searched for the word "donate" and never found it once. That's a bit underhanded, eh?

Not the most economical, but a cat will always do the trick. Want to sleep in? Too bad. Super kitty tongue to the eyelids!

People tend to associate an emotion with a given memory for life and amplify it over time. For some people, high school was really fun and care-free - and as you remember it more and more it gets more fun and more care-free. For me it was hell, and I keep remembering it that way - and worse. The only thing I ever

Megan, I've had my car broken into a few times and losing a $200 cell phone that way really doesn't interest me. By pouches I meant the little cell-phone sized pouches/cases that people sometimes affix to their belt. Personally, I think they indicate someone trying to flaunt their gear.

My personal pet peeve is when someone is wearing headgear of some sort that covers their ears (long hats, knit caps, stocking caps... those sorts of things) and uses a hands-free device while walking down the road. I no longer know wether people are crazy or if they're just talking on their cell phone.

Whoo! 90 WPM here. The one thing I've always disliked about typing tests is that they never use "real world" typing examples. That is, it's always contrived and complicated. My fingers know the most common words that I type out - and they fly. When I have to stop and think about things that I've rarely typed, or

This is definitely an interesting service. Seeking Alpha's annotations are an interesting addition to the WSJ's content - as it's not typically blatant "financial news". This definitely provides a better look at how all parties involved are faring after the given event.

With the profusion of so many nag screens, the user gets far more likely to simply click through them all. Having to click through three or more nag screens just to download new software (after you've already gone through the "Save As..." dialog) is just asking for trouble. After awhile one stops reading, and starts
