It was stated earlier but I have no doubt that the republicans are giving Trump this leash so they can push their agenda through. I think the only thing that will get them stirring would be Trump threatening to nuke Texas at this point.

Lots of executives/owners of big businesses support Trump. Lyft came out right away and condemned the Muslim ban. They also announced donations to the ACLU to support the defense of the constitution. Uber cared about money. There’s the difference.
