Yep, this is my strategy when I vote next week. If it looks like Warren has a shot at 15% and get delegates then I’ll vote for her, otherwise it will be Bernie.

Yeah, I’m just a white girl, but Robinette doesn’t sound black to me at all. It’s just a surname of European origin being used as a middle name, which I think of as being peak white people pretentious naming.
I grew up in a small Texas town that is currently in Louie Gohmert’s congressional district. When I was in 5th grade (in the late 70s) the conservative Episcopal elementary school I attended decided that the event they needed to have was a drag beauty pageant for all the upper grade students — which all the mothers…
Yep. I vote a week after Super Tuesday, and while Warren is my first choice, Bernie is a close second. So which one I vote for will 100% come down to what I think her viability is after Super Tuesday results.
As a transwoman, I’ve used both, and yes, the women’s room is usually nastier.
Interesting link.
Thank you. And related to my other pet peeve: “free reign” instead of “free rein”.
Similarly, I went with Synthesis because I didn’t understand the choosing mechanism. I walked forward into the glowing thingy, thinking that once I got there, it would give me a dialog choice between the three options. But instead I was locked into Synthesis. (Which, to be fair, I might well have chosen anyway.)
Top 5 ways people misspell Phoebe (from someone with the name):
I haven’t either. The only time it’s been on my TV was one time when my mom visited, and after spending a couple of nights watching shows like X-Files and Babylon 5, she changed the channel to Friends and was all “You should watch shows like this. They’re all your age and normal.”
It would, but I think Warren would be wasted as VP. I want her as Treasury Secretary.
The Netflix run of MST3K riffs on that movie. It is glorious.
You can play with 6, or you can play with 3 (with each player controlling two factions) but playing with 4 or 5 leads to a very bad game.
For real, Zerlina Maxwell talking about Bloomberg’s treatment of the Exonerated Five on her Sirius XM morning show was the moment I was like — that’s all I need to know about him.
I like that analogy. It also fits with my mindset: I’d *rather* call a plumber to fix things, but if I’m prevented from doing so, I might have to resort to the bulldozer.
It gets really bad in the trans community. So many of us use names of our target gender that are not our legal names that anti-trans trolls will just report any transfolks that attract their attention, figuring there’s a pretty good chance they won’t be able to substantiate their identity to FB. It means a lot of…
Oh, they have a reason for it. They don’t want to piss him off so much that he won’t spend his money supporting Democratic candidates.
Obligatory Styx song:
I agree with everything you said, except the bottom line. The reason this promotion exists is that no one is using their app. It’s currently at 1% of orders, and they hope to get it up to 5%. If they manage to hit their goal, then they are giving away 1 out of every 21 sandwiches made, which should be sustainable.
I get what you’re saying, and I’m totally aware of how the language keeps changing on all these terms. (I’m a gynephilic transwoman married to a trans-am transwoman.) But there is definite utility in having a term which says “I’m attracted to everyone *except* non-binary folks” if only so non-binary folks know to stay…
