In California, everyone is “dude” regardless of gender. (Or at least, they were in the 80's. Haven’t lived there since then.)

“You guys” is just one of several regional variants of the second personal plural pronoun. The fact that it annoys some people is the main reason I’ve held onto “y’all”.

I saw an interview with one of them last night, and it was even quicker than that. They had just read the news that he was voting “yes” on Kavanaugh on their phones when he came around the corner, so it was all in the moment with nothing planned.

The reason they don’t give you a receipt is to avoid vote-buying. You know, where your employer (or spouse, or the mobster down the street) insists you show him how you voted.

Also, remember when Jill Stein tried to recount the ballots in MI, WI, and PA after the 2016 election...and the Democratic party sat on their hands. And then the courts mostly blocked the recounts (for different reasons in different states).

You are 100% percent correct. Blowing things up was never worth the risk. But now that everything is in the process of imploding, I’m just hoping we concentrate on putting things back together the right way.

You don’t need to, but you might want to try and see how it goes. I played Cold Steel first, and then went back to Sky, and I have to say I would have had a much easier time wrapping my head around the combat in Cold Steel if I had started with the more simplified version in Sky.

Just to say: my wife is a recovering alcoholic and she has this exact same problem. She cuts soda out of her life for a week or two, and then buys a two-liter bottle of Coke Zero and downs it in a day. Addictive personalities are gonna have their addiction.
