One thing I noticed though was the absence of a TDi. They still do make an inline 4 TDi as far as I know, but perhaps that was lumped into the standard inline 4 category.

Long live the inline 5.
And that’s why a lot of utilities and contractors buy the 4.3L version. It is the cheapest option, easy to fix, cheap to maintain, and enough power to do the job with the same fuel economy of the 5.3, well, maybe slightly better.
It’s possible that the reason American vehicle brands are abandoning sedans is because their sedans are shit, along with their warranties that accompany them.
It is the tensioner itself that fails prematurely.
Just old Audi's?
I enjoy when my locale makes Jalopnik news. Even if it is less than reputable. But hey, that's Barrie and Orillia in a nutshell.
One could only assume that the fuel mileage of a ‘Rod using this device would be measured in barleycorns per pottle.
Good commenting is good.
I bet you could tow this thing with a SINGLE electric half ton truck, based upon the concepts.
I say it because I’ve never run into it.
Thats some black mirror stuff right there.
I’d never taint a good apple pie with a kraft single but GOD DAMN I will put a nice quality sharp cheddar on that shit. Pairs well with the apples.
Thanks! Oh yeah, I do plan on keeping it for the long haul. It’s worth way more to me than anyone could pay, mostly because of the stupid amounts of money I have “wasted” on it over the years. May one day it will be something someone else will want, but realistically that’s not my end game.
Just the answer I was looking for!
Is it just me or are American’s very self conscious of their credit score? It just seems like if you are from the US, you must be aware of your credit score as a numeric value. So many services offer to analyze your credit score. Ads about increasing your score. Doing this or that. Buy this service. Protect you credit…
Minus the front clip while I was making room for the intercooler lol. Funny thing is, I take less pictures these last few years than I used to, but the car is more modified than ever now. I guess I just do it for myself.
Thats what I look at, the fundamentals. Most other things can be addressed fairly easily. Suspension, brakes, tires, power... all fairly easy to address. Changing the chassis, drive train layout, and those fundamental parts that make it a fun car are much harder to change haha!
As someone who is quite in the know with Gencoupes, I have never heard that the mount was removed or omitted to allow more flex to prevent drivetrain issues. What I heard and know of is that the extra mount is redundant.
It is quite easy.
