I think its very dumb comparing those two. Allen's characters are always smart and funny in their own way, Gus is just ugly and nagging. There's just too much suspension of believe that amout of hot women would want this guy. It's just obviously TV.

Maybe if Gus had a plastic surgery the central relationship would be less unrealistic. And every female wanting his dick at least plausible.
