I won’t discount the possibility that she did it.  But I definitely doubt that she was the only person who might have had a motive to kill him.  And yet the documentary definitely wanted to leave you with the impression that she was the only reasonable suspect.

Same. Even if she did murder her truly shitty husband, is the embodiment of the crazy cat lady and has devoted her life to their conservation. So I’m like ok?

Yeah I’m team no-one wrt Tiger King but I’m not convinced Carol killed her husband. The filmmakers were trying so hard to set it up to look that way, but like of course his ex-wife and kids think the worst of her. They didn’t really talk to anyone who might have defended her.

I normally wouldn’t watch this kinda shit but I did on Monday...man, was it compelling and I loved it!

jesus - what in the name of misogyny is this post even? I’m not a Carole Baskin apologist* but the vitriol directed at her, over this “documentary” cannot be explained any other way. She is not breeding big cats, she is not murdering/euthanizing big cats, she is not preying on and entrapping young folks using drugs

Carole Baskin is the least bad person on that show, compared to all the men who show varying degrees of malignant narcissism, psychopathy, and general stupidity and villainy.

Especially when it starts becoming evident that a lot of their core voting group isn’t as down with that mentality and that there is a lot of work to be done in order to sell that message to them. At point getting aggressive towards those moderate voices starts becoming a problem, especially since a vast majority of

Also being able to work with your leadership is a good thing. Folks need to stop getting so worked up with this “burn it all down” mentality. Change takes thought and time.

I’ll take animal and child trafficking in Costa Rica for 3,000.

I write a lot of estate plans, and it’s not unusual that the husband leaves everything to the wife when they die, even if it’s a second wife. Presumably whatever is left will go to the kids, but they by no means are entitled to it or assume that the new wife is a gold digger.

There is a podcast that goes further into this story and doesn’t end with “she fed him to the tigers”. He was a serial cheater, maybe a sexaholic, and not necessarily the world’s greatest guy either.

This. It just means America will have to choose between a racist, authoritarian rapist with dozens of accusations against him, who thinks the solution to a pandemic is mass genocide to save capitalism, and Biden, who likes to hug people inappropriately, was accused of misconduct by one woman, and might not be as far

he’s one of the responsible gun owners, right?

It’s not perplexing why some Warren supporters have migrated to Biden - it’s only perplexing if you look at the why of it from only one side ... the white, educated upper/middle class perspective. Many people in this country are scared shitless to make an “extreme” choice and be left with Trump for 4 more years. I’m

Is Bernie still in the lead? Definitely. There’s a good 30% of the Dem electorate that will ride with him all the way. But that still leaves ~70%.

“But instead of expanding and bringing in more people to help, instead his campaign relentlessly attacks everyone who asks a question or tries to fill in details about how to actually make this work.”

“Everyone came to destroy Mike tonight. It didn’t happen.

Children in cages? Can’t be bothered. Nazi’s marching in the streets? No big deal? President colluded with a foreign government to dig up dirt on a political opponent? Who hasn’t done that? Billy Porter on Sesame Street in a gown? Avert your eyes children. Don’t gaze upon that evil vision or you will surely perish.

I don’t think it’s Michael’s job to provide solutions.  Maybe if he was a politician?

I’m not the least bit scared, and for those of you who are, you need to get over that fear. Period. Bernie’s supporters aren’t worried about a 70-something socialist from Vermont by way of Brooklyn. They aren’t worried about whether a Jewish persosn can become president in a nation beset by Nazi violence.  Y’all need
