Coming here to say just this. A rich, white woman living in CA is going to be fine if Donald Trump is elected. Susan Sarandon especially will be fine because getting an artist’s visa is really f-ing easy if you’re a notable actor. Yuck.

I’m sure this isn’t nearly bad enough, but . . .
+1
Just so everyone knows . . . now is the time to be signing up to be a Girl Scout as a girl or volunteer!
This sentiment, “‘Political correctness,’ the boogeyman under the bed of every person with literally nothing else to oppress them,” is perfection!
I dunno . . . actual rich people go to resorts where the disenfranchised populace hand you a fresh towel every single time you drag your bloated white body from the surf.
I can’t tell if you’re being purposefully obtuse or if you’re genuinely interested in ways that DV agencies support their clients. But instead of going back and forth with the OP (who’s working a tough job) why don’t you just take a minute and see what kind of resources are available in your area. Then, GASP,…
Don’t question THE GRAPH!
Just here to say it’s SOOOO GOOD!
I think, and I’m just spitballing here, that sometimes parents don’t want to believe that their child can be a victim of sexual abuse, so they convince themselves that he is not. On paper, of course, a 24 year old with a 13 year old is abuse, but MY 13 year old is in love and it’s different.
She didn’t by name, no. But the timing was damning. I’m willing to concede that I (as well as many others) could have misread that. But his harassment of women comedians was being pretty thoroughly confirmed at the time.
I hate this response. Essentially, he’s saying that what happens on the internet isn’t real. But when Jen Kirkman comes out and on her verified twitter feed calls out Louis CK and the response is “I hope you get raped.” THAT IS HAPPENING IN HER REAL LIFE!
I had a friend who heard the lyric “cross I bear that you gave to me” as “cross-eyed bear that you gave to me.” Basically the best thing that happened to me on spring break in ‘06. Also, I thought The Beatles song Ticket to Ride was talking about a “baby donkey” not about a girl who “don’t care.”
I’ve never heard this argument before; it is like a lightning bolt! Thanks for the link.
Just a tip, I found when working with vendors that they’d be willing knock off a percentage if you can pay for it all up front (this requires you to ask and maybe haggle, which can feel tacky). I know that’s not always an option, but we saved a lot of money that way.
Thank you. You get what you pay for.
Thank you both for your service. I hope that Trump isn’t ultimately elected for a lot of reasons, and I’ll add your family to my list.
I just did this with a long standing friend. And it kind of backfired. She wouldn’t accept my “slow fade,” contacted our mutual friends to ask if I was “going through something” (because there had to be something wrong with ME, right?) and eventually nailed my ass to the ground and made me tell her I didn’t care to be…
Honestly, I think it’s a case of asking the wrong people the right questions. I mean, how intelligently can a white actress speak to what it means to be a black actress in Hollywood? It’s obviously going to elicit an obtuse answer, because her understanding of the situation is (by all rights) obtuse.
