I don't think that's entirely fair. As stated in the article, "[at the time the SP movie came out four years into SP's run, it would take] at least another decade of people with Cartman avatars just joshin’ about hating Jews before the South Park generation would truly come of age."
The generation Sean seems to be

On Twitter, I recently stumbled upon some alt-right glomming on to Rick and Morty. I scratched my head and moved on. It just struck me, but Rick and Morty seems to a number of the same sensibilities and perspectives as are in SP, that is, it has a strong anti-government, libertarian, nihilist streak. Interesting to

Absolving SB's responsibility on that basis seems to mirror exactly the same kind of "fuck it" quasi-nihilistic mentality that fuels trolls and some aspects of alt-right thinking.

Hopefully it doesn't have an outsize effect on the kids that were present. In an ideal world, this whole debacle would be a "teachable moment" for troopmasters and their kids. I can't really blame the organization for not speaking out against or disavowing the content of the speech directly, but I sure as hell hope

it's like telling grandpa to behave himself at Thanksgiving. Not gonna happen.

eh, the girl scout cookies are processed factory food crap that tastes like chemicals, but I have to say the Girl Scouts have been far better historically with respect to organizational and social issue policies.

I don't think South Park "made" the alt-right, but they sure as shit gave them plenty of self-reinforcing fodder for those idiots to use in justifing their shitty belief system.

Well, he was more using his kid (including a picture of said kid) to make a point about a petty annoyance and characterize it as some big social problem.

Good point. I reckon it can go the other way too. I dunno why a couple hours at a friend's house can have a bigger influence than we can exert over the course of years. :)

To all the people saying "just feed your kid better options at home," and "it's the parent's fault the kid is picky," I'm just gonna say that kids aren't raised in a vacuum. Yes, you can raise them to happily eat fermented soybeans, multigrain bread with nuts and seeds, and zuchinni, but the second that they start

キモイ!! (`_´)ゞ

Uh oh. Our Disney overlords will not be pleased.

So wait, Ann Coulter flies economy?

When in doubt, the answer is always Orlando Jones.

Yeah. They had tended away from that prior flirtation that was a mainstay of the previous 8 or so seasons with #12. Thank goodness.

I dunno which I'm more excited about, the Moffat era drawing to a close or Whittaker taking over. She'll be great.

I've always seen the Sarah-Jane thing as revisionist. For some reason, in the modern series, the writers/producers saw a need for romance sub-plots involving the doctor, which were never a feature of the original series. Sarah and Baker's doctor had a great rapport and a good deal of mutual (platonic) affection, but

*she shouldn't be too bewildered.

I wonder if they'll do the sequel with the surly mitochondria. And more importantly, who will play the mitochondria?

I've seen Busta Rhymes 5 times, only one of those was intentional.
