It was more fun, and it felt like it was very conscious, respectful, and thoughtful in its portrayal of Harlem and its community, the good and the bad.

Ugh. Don't assume you know what I would take issue with. As I explained below, it's not a diversity problem. I'm not saying that the problem is that all the bad guys are Asian. I'm saying that all the Asian people are bad guys (or in coleen's case, misguided). Those propositions are not equivalent. I don't see why…
I watched it out of a perverse "how can it get worse" mentality.
Well, that explains a lot.
1. The cultural appropriation and bastardization of Chinese and Japanese philosophy and culture in this series makes it worse, particularly since they're central aspects, though daredevil is no role model for how it handles Asian characters or cultures.
2. All bad guys are Asian vs all Asians are bad guys. My point…
I was originally calling out race and how it's used, which I found ridiculous. At its core, we have a white Jesus kung fu master who has to topple the female version of fu manchu and other members of an evil Asian gang, while scoring a temporary alliance with the OTHER evil Asian gang. Don't get me started on how…
Cool how all the Asian people in this series end up being bad guys, with the exception of Coleen, but that makes sense because a white guy banged her to the side of light and good.
so cool that everyone in China speaks English.
Looks like we'll never know. Pity.
Well, they haven't gotten into Legion's psyche and power absorption abilities yet. My wild guess, some characters die next episode, and David absorbs them (Syd is a logical choice - "promise me: if we get lost, we get lost together"), setting up next season's character arc for David. Alternatively, he might hoover up…
Probably because Kary is a huge Marvel nerd.
Sure. But one of the points of a preorder is making sure you get the game on Day 1. You're screwed if you cracked open the game before seeing the tepid reviews. So why preorder in the first place?
Man, I couldn't get behind that game. I tried… but nope. Couldn't stand the combat, was tepid on the characters, didn't like the story.
By all accounts, the combat is pretty much the one thing that works well in this game.
I really enjoyed ME 1, 2, and 3. It was nice because each game got better. Sure, they all had their issues and some amount of drudgery, but I liked the world-building, the storyline was good, and the characters were great. The missions were fun and varied, the relationships and decisions were consequential. Also,…
And that's why it's dumb to preorder games.
Oo nice. Or oversized Braille. The possibilities are endless!
Well, sometimes people need to just scream and let frustration out. If beating up randos on political sites is your primal scream, have at it. Doesn't do it for me, but I can imagine it has therapeutic value for some.
There are people on there full time. There's no winning against that. And they have their contingent of trolls. So you wind up trolling trolls and getting trolled in return. It's just mutual aggravation with no resolution.
I can't imagine anything more pointless.
Hannity kinda pushed him off his usual ideological ground, and he had to pivot to try to sop up some of that moderate Conservative market. Again, talking head punditry as entertainment. So cynical. So pointless.
Good points. It does lighten it a little (as does the animal puns), and it gives the writers some more layers to play with, along with the ability to shorthand character personalities with choice of animal. E.g., Mr. Peanut Butter being a lab tells you a lot about the character out of the gate before he ever opens his…
