Came here to say that. It’s not like the oil industry would never, ever do this.

>Investigators looking into the fire are focusing their efforts on the electrical cord that was plugged into the nose of the plane and do not believe there to be an issue with the aircraft itself.
>Small private planes generally cannot perform sharp enough or excessive enough maneuvers to cause structural damage in the first place.
Two Citroens, actually :
You’d think more are needed?
Came here to say that. To justify a 8k$ expense, I’d feel the system should have demonstrated its ability to really drive all by itself and not require an intervention every few minutes, maybe not even every few hours.
If I’m not mistaken, the NACS and CCS ports share the same protocols on the CP and PP lines, making the adapter a rather simple wiring job? I’d bet even the Chinese can do that. ;)
In Europe, SuC have all a CCS2 port (some have a supplemental NACS one for S owners without the dongle) and it friggin’ works. I don’t really see the point of the debate.
I’m also very disappointed not to see any picture, animated or not, of an ATV driving through an ashiyu.
Seems to me the same weaknesses that I see in my Tesla 3 “Autopilot” (no FSD) : great on a desert multilanes highway, not so great on the same highway with much traffic, problematic in construction zones (often hesitates between temporary and former lane markings eg) and disastrous on a winding 2 lane highway (as in…
They have taken great care to feed their AI with real traffic data!
It’s cool to have a frunk, but it would be so much cooler to have a spare tyre (even a tortilla-like emergency one) in it!
But what if some of these things are actually visitors from other planets, or maybe the unexplored depths of our own oceans? What then, federal government, if we aren’t prepared for any eventuality, we could fall victim to our own hubris.
I know where this design comes from (and I find it on the good side of the uncanny valley tbh) :
Yeah, I initially thought it that way, but it seems dimensions are closest to the 208 (didn’t get any height info).
On the electric side :
208 is a 208 is a 208 is a 208
Well, one serious thing at least : how intrusive, and easy to deconnect, are the unavoidable driving nannies (line crossing avoidance, stability control, etc) ?
The Flipper was just clickbait indeed, but it’s a nice reminder not to give your credentials to something you don’t know.
I was going to explain how I like my Model3 despite the shitty “autopilot” and “safety” feature aka phantom braking and lane alerts out of nowhere when you’re driving in a narrow construction zone, but now I can’t.
