It’s different in that the AAF (a) has reputable people running it, (b) isn’t trying to compete with the NFL, and (c) is beating Vince to market by a year.

The irony is that the person who probably learned the most from the XFL is Charlie Ebersol, who produced the documentary for ESPN. Charlie, by the way, set up his own league, hired credible NFL people to be involved, and is beating the XFL to market by a year.
