To be fair, I do that myself like all the time.
To be fair, I do that myself like all the time.
I can assure you that the group of moderate Democrats who got the ball rolling by giving Pelosi the go ahead crunched the numbers first.
Damn, this is serious. So serious in fact that I’ll bet the IAAF and WADA hit Russia with another two years of sanctions.
He went to his plastic surgeon and said, “Give me the Kenny Rogers Special.”
If he sneezes his entire face may fall off.
What a stupid bet to have.
He proved unable to change his approach with pro players. These are grown men, not boys, they won’t respond well to rah rah disciplinarian bullshit. He seemed to dig in even more as the pressure increased rather than adapt.
Also, if the goddamn Chargers Rams fuck me in my knockout pool, I’m going to fly to Los Angeles and beat Philip Rivers Goff to death with several of his own Philip Rivers’s children.
Come on, let’s not play dumb. His coaches made him do this in the hopes his suspension isn’t too long for clearly trying to deliberately injure a guy.
Are you serious? That play was as fucking dirty as they come. Quibble over semantics, but that was a deliberate attempt to injure the guy.
Not sure why everyone is in a hurry to shut candidates out of the process. Let’s be honest aside from the three known commodities, Biden, Sanders, and Warren, the entire “race” thus far has been essentially about raising money. Is that how we pick candidates now?
All depends on the tear. A partial tear is easier to fix, but still incredibly painful if you dislocate it. If your shoulder is full crab meat, yeah your shoulder is ruined for life, but one positive side effect is you can pop it out and then back in without much pain at all.
Been there many times. First time certainly is as you describe. By the 10th time it’s actually rather pain-free. It hurts some still when you pop it out, but all you have to do is a weird contortion and minutes later you’re fine.
All that said, polls do have their uses. It’s just that the rise of aggregators, 538 being the pioneer, use them with a certainty that is utterly unwarranted. To the point their results became the news in 2016. 538 vs NYT saying Clinton had a 70% chance vs a 90% chance is misleading gibberish that really amounts to “I…
Polling has two components, gathering a representative sample and weighing. Data gathering is of course the seemingly simple act of asking people questions. Weighing is simply understanding you can never get a true even sampling of respondents, so you adjust the results to match the population at large. Using past…
Have you? Getting an infection via an ear pod doesn’t rate in even the top 500 most likely ways you can get one. So unless you are Bubble Boy, wipe them down and you’re fine.
I’d argue there should be a penalty. The fact that Sendejo missed his intended target with his dangerous hit should no way exonerate it. Isn’t that the entire intent of these new rules protecting players? That intent doesn’t matter?
That’s 538's model. 538 is an aggregator, not a pollster. We could discuss problems with aggregators methodology too if you like. The way they rate polls may in fact achieve the opposite of what they claim. But that’s a whole other level of statistical noise.
Can I ask an honest question? Do you by chance have any actual knowledge how modern polling works? How they come up with the results they do, as in compilation of raw data, optimal comparisons, weighing?
Because reporting on the percentage chance to win based on polling is a stupid and irresponsible thing to do. 70%? 90%? What does that even mean? Utterly misleading.
