Do you think cocaine and plastic surgery pays for itself?

“I needed the money.” sounds so much less impressive I guess.

Why do you think McDonald’s has Wi-Fi?

As I said, it isn’t a straight comparison. But it’s about more than just preventing arguments, it’s about promoting a particular atmosphere, and there the comparison is apt.

He is thinking, “Who is this Chaka person he just asked if I was related to?”

I’m have tremendous sympathy for those battling addiction and the War on Drugs is a tragic farce. That said, dealing fentanyl is quite simply evil. Moving 15,000 does of it takes Hatch our of the “sad” category and makes him a murderer.

I TOO AM SIMPLY SHOCKED

But then the last two years happened.

Calling for his resignation is literally the only thing she’s done to give her the prominence to run for President in the first place.

If you have to work that hard to explain a joke, it’s a really shitty joke.

Yeah. No. Just because the 5th amendment deals only with due process specific to a court of law does not mean due process cannot exist in other instances. In fact it sets an ethical standard that other institutions should strive to emulate.

I do that on the bus so that nobody takes the seat next to me. Works 99% of the time. But that 1%? Oh man.

I enjoyed Alita too, and that’s not in my wheel house so to speak. I think it was unlucky just as Avatar was lucky in it’s timing. There’s just so much content out there, led of course by Marvel, that it was hard to get any traction. It also is a victim of it’s budget. It actually did okay box office, but at it’s cost

What would you do if a customer refused to be served by a black person? Would you still serve that customer or ask him/her to leave?

I don’t think that’s true. I mean here on Deadspin it is, and I like it. Yes sometimes it is unavoidable, no question. But I think for many people, most even, left and right, sports is about sports. We’re kind of in a bubble here thinking otherwise.

Yeah, that’s EXACTLY what I said. You got me!

ESPN certainly was more politically engaged before the new guy took over. He’s clearly making a change. They wouldn’t give Olberman a show now in a million years. It’s a simple business decision. I’m just saying I understand why. I’m not a “Stick to Sports!” guy at all. But I’d still do the same.

Are you serious?

I’d compare Avengers more to Star Wars actually, and yes 25 years from now Marvel & Avengers most certainly will in fact dominate discussions of the culture of this era.

Cameroon caught lightening in a bottle with the spectacle of the new style of 3D at the time, it was a novelty that paid off. And yes Avatar did have a re-issue as well.
