Doge is actually an Italian (or maybe Latin?) word that is kind of equivalent to Duke, pronounced with a long o and a soft j. In the context of the meme, I've heard it pronounced that way, or as dog, or rhyming with rogue. I don't know if there's an accepted pronunciation for the meme.
