Jamie's housemate Dave: "I'm a level 3 Warlock now! Yes!"
Jamie's housemate Dave: "I'm a level 3 Warlock now! Yes!"
I liked it. Rhonda giving her fellow inmates the finger made me laugh out loud. A cheery, "this is for you and this is for you." You immediately *knew* it was premature on her part.
"Anne-ubis (pronounced wrong) will work too."
It should be emphasized that someone told Morland that Sherlock was seen in the immediate vicinity of the assassination attempt. He should have immediately know that it was a lie but didn't. And the lie spurs Sherlock to investigate obviously.
I enjoyed this episode and am loving this show. The hotel lobby scene reminded me a little of Tarantino, like in the basement bar of the Inglorious Basterds. It's tense for a little while before all havoc breaks loose.
Good review. It is odd how Cara is sort of flustered and SuperGirl is all gung ho.
Yeah part of what I loved about the X-Files was the humor amidst the crazy conspiracies.
I don't know if you're disagreeing with me or not. In Feudalism and caste systems it was expected of them to take care of their servants and wards, in capitalism it isn't. Of course often in Feudalism they didn't. And there were no democratic checks on abuse of power.
And Ryan Robbins as the DoD guy. The best line was Mulder joking about how he passed out after the doctor's eyes popped out of their sockets.
I too liked this episode more than the pilot. It moved much faster and smoother. There's a conflict that's playing out and things are up in the air. They're the press, the SEC, the fixer lawyer. Still, I kind of detest all of the Axe Capital people and hope Rhoades gets them if there's something there.
Why did Rowling tweet about it specifically? Who knows?
I agree with the reviewer's critical reaction. Plus the opening credits hit me with a powerful wave of nostalgia. I was a fan since the beginning.
I'm a noob only having seen last season and this one, but my take is slightly different from the reviewer. To me one can watch the show and see how the system is unfair and unjust and needs reforms but that the Crawley's seem like nice people who mean well and treat their servants almost like an extended family.…
If the show is reaching for the allegorical it could be about capital or big money versus democracy. Axe is the stand in for money Chuck for democracy. I'm rooting for Chuck no matter how flawed he may be. Chuck was appointed by politicians who were voted in by the public.
Looks like Violet is losing the hospital debate. Progress continues apace.
I like the main actor playing Will. I think he was on the CW's prequel to Sex in the City.
(Embarrassed I know that.)
SPOILERS??? POSSIBLY INADVERTANT
I love these kind of genre shows. USA with Mr. Robot and now this!
"Wolverines!"
Yeah, Mrs Drewe already has a bunch of kids. Barrow seems more likable this season after his botched cure attempt. He took the snobby butler and Violet's servant down a notch.
