That's one of my favorite songs of that era. It will be nice if more people hear of it now.

I don't think it was ever a homage to bad soaps - it was just hyper-emotional, which meant on the surface it was similar to soaps, and then someone tacked on "ha ha it's a soap within a soap" type novelty value by adding Invitation to Love. I notice Lynch got rid of that pretty fast.

Likely so the whole thread wouldn't be people asking where their show is.

I get why people want to see her but all the anger and rage like Lynch let the air out of their tires is embarrassing. I'm still laughing at that E! recap saying there's still no Audrey or Cooper so they now see how bad the show is.

With the story set up for Becky I think we will.

I always forget to say that Stones of Blood is one of my favorite stories (cheesy as it is) so I smile whenever I see your name.

Oh good, more of Baldwin pushing his lips out and making stinky diaper faces while everyone tries to pretend this is brilliant political commentary that will demoralize Trump and add to the "resistance."

For me it mostly starts when they have all the men wanting to sleep with Lana Milford. It was just so small town TV cliche, forced "quirkiness." The antithesis of season 1.

Possibly, although I think there was just so much that was a mistake no actor could save (the "wacky" and "scary" killing scenes and overextending his scenes with Leo and the scene where he knocks Garland out, off the top of my head).

I thought that was hilarious. THE Nine Inch Nails. A way to remind that this is still a cheesy little town no matter what.

I'd imagine that Bob could have known of her potential, which is why he used her father to abuse her for years and then tried to take her over. Ultimately she still resisted him, which no one else has ever done.

I did see one reviewer who pretty much hates everything about the revival say they thought the material in this episode was incredible. Of course they will be back to hating it in 2 weeks.

I think beyond the Laura bit, and the hilarity of seeing the E! Online (home of a premiere video on every recap that still autoplays months later) recapper talking about how this episode shows how bad the revival is, my favorite part was the White Room (?) stuff with the Giant and that woman, Dido or whoever. The

Well the narrative part was just my word salad. I don't think that's why he's doing it. I'm just saying it's one of those things that for me fits the character and the people around her a great deal when I think about it. But I shouldn't go on because it may not have meant that anyway. Maybe it just means Cooper is

Everything about Windom Earle was bargain basement TV cliches.I have a tough time watching any of his scenes.

I was thinking of that, but also the way that his death is written in the history book is odd to me - he was carried off somewhere and only found several days later, she knew he would die, etc.

I have and other than the replies to the troll one I didn't think they were that bad, but I guess we disagree.

I have to thank you again for these recaps. I'm so used to recappers who make everything about themselves and their other shows and views (and in one cases a recapper for a site I read even decides to, beyond endlessly talking about other TV shows and themselves, sing TV theme songs every week, which is…not really

People have said this type of stuff everywhere and I haven't seen a huge backlash. If anything I tend to see more vehemence at some places when the show is praised.

There often seems to be a big dividing line about watching for Cooper and Cooper/Audrey or watching for the town or watching for the otherworldly stuff, and so on. For me early season 1, the diary, and FWWM are the parts of the TP universe that resonate with me so that may be why I am partial to the new show. (cue
