There are many, many, many successful and respected Japanese of Korean descent. It took me 20 years to even learn one derogatory word for Koreans in Japanese, it's never spoken. I am extremely certain that if I asked for colorful words in Korean to describe Japanese they would not be hard to find.

Korea makes about 100x more statements about Dokdo/Takeshima than Japan ever does. True, Japan puts "Takeshima is our territory" in its textbooks, but that's what it is to claim a fact. And the most successful Japanese businessman, Son Masatoshi, is a Korean Japanese. Which is like being an Italian American, i.e. an American of Italian descent, but for some reason Asia always has to make everything morethan it should be.

That should not be the case. Japan and Korea opened cultural sharing back in 1999, and several pop stars and comedians have made a splash over there...though about 1/100 the number of Koreans that Japan has welcomed into its entertainment industry.
