Well lets look at the 4 series for a second since we have something to compare it to.
the 2004 330ci, top performing model of the normal lineup at the time (excluding M cars) Msrp was $37k with standard options; now the new 2014 435i, the comparable model, is $46k msrp. $9k increase over ten years, that's nuts

Oh heck yea, I'm just strictly speaking on OEM terms here.
Personally I think the reason a lot of cars are going up in price is because of all of the unwanted electronic crap like automatic brakes and various cameras, variable this and that.

ok so the price increase isn't as bad as I thought in my last few posts. only ~$500 over the current 135is.

ok..

The prices of these cars are really out of control. I went and looked at the 428i last week and the sticker was $50k for what seemed like a lightly optioned car.

"...a future price tag of under $50,000 U.S"

I like the car and I am looking forward to it as someone who wanted to buy a 135i when they came out (but was out of price range) But messing with the naming of the car is just stupid after one generation in the US.
1 series just sounds better as a performance name. It was more focused and dedicated to you and the

Its just sad to see that I could have been running a Ferrari F40 all of this time if gas prices had stayed down. That was in 2008, now the 2013 MINI's are a little over $2000 annually for fuel and they have kept the same MPG for the most part.

The annual fuel cost on my 2008 MINI says $1500 a year on the sticker. That's nuts!

Now playing

Australia seems pretty easy according to this.

Go give a 370z for a try, It had the first rev matching system and its great. I loved it.

I would like to know what his honest opinion is of the new 3rd gen F56 MINI.

Since I can have a Veyron in pretty much any color combination I want, what is stopping me from buying a "Standard" Veyron and specc'ing this color combination/wheels?...well aside from piles of money.

HA! Even MINI wasn't so sure about the 2014 car. I just found this while looking through some MINI adverts.

This was confirmed months ago that the center speedo would be going away. Sad really since it was such a part of the cars past. They really have moved away from any traits that tie it to the original with this next car.

well since you had one how was the real world gas mileage?

God I love me some 16v Cosworth action.
I would so take a 190E 16v over a E30 M3. I've been searching for a decent one for a while but since I bought the 2.5 RS I need to finish that car first before buying another.
I think that this car would make a great daily driver tho, Cool on so many levels, comfortable, and I

Same here, I am very uneasy about the next generation of cars. So much that I am very highly considering trading my '08 S for a '13 JCW while I still can order one custom from Oxford.

What we have here is nothing but a tease and a lie.
They already have a full production car that was leaked a few weeks ago during a photoshoot.

Poor Version 7 STi rims :(
