Wicked story. I have tried the same with a few of the asshats around here that try to street race. I tell them to meet me at the track, and invariably they realize that they can't stack the odds in their favor, and back out. Maybe realizing that they actually have to know their car.

This 300 SLR replica. The powerplant is disappointing, however huge kudos for skipping over the more famous gullwing and doing this instead. Now if someone can find a way to bring power off the center of an old pontiac straight 8 for one of these...

Yeah I still think the 'four door coupe' is a bit ridiculous. But in the other examples being manufactured they do adhere to the coupe shape more closely. However I still drive a two door car that I can rightly call a coupe.

Doesn't strike me as a coupe in these sketches. The CLS, and Audi both use a more traditional coupe look with fastback bodystyle. This BMW has a pretty definite trunklid. Just looks like a 5 series to me.

NP. I adore the big Benzes, so it pushes the right buttons. The M100 is a bulletproof wunderwaffe, but the rest of the car can bleed you dry in maintenance. However with an older S class I'd be garaging that baby, and taking her out occasionally for a sunny day cruise.
